The AMD Euro Cyber Cup continues this year, with the event taking place in Brno, Czech Republic from 26th - 27th October. Last year, team choosing was based on invitation system, this year 8 countries from central Europe are going to organize qualifiers that will constitute the teams which are going to take part in the LAN finals. These countries are:

# Croatia
# Czech Republic
# Hungary
# Macedonia
# Poland
# Serbia and Montenegro
# Slovakia
Last years winner Team-Pentagram is also going to take part in the qualifiers. This year the cash prizes are also pretty interesting for an event which is gathering only players from central Europe.
1st - 3000 $
2nd - 1500 $
3rd - 500 $

"AMD Euro Cyber Cup is a project produced and managed by a Czech company specialized in electronic sports and professional gaming: ProGamers. This company was founded in the year 1999 and since that have been organizing big LAN tournaments such as AMD PG Challenge or InvexCup-Finals of Czech Gaming Championship.
AMD Euro Cyber Cup is an European Counter-Strike (5on5) tournament, attended by 8 top teams from Central and Eastern Europe. Last year's tournament was invitational only and was won by Polish Team Pentagram. This year we decided to bring in a qualification system. There will be eight national preliminaries, winners will come to Brno to compete for the Cup."
