Hi! Could you please introduce yourself to the readers and tell us what your role is in your clan?
Hi! I am Vladimir 'Kekec' Kekerovic 18 years old, and I'm the clan leader of the Bosnian CS team kka.
How did it feel to win the ESWC Qualifier?
It felt great!
Who did you played against in the final match, and how did it go?
We played our great friends and a great CS team Restricted (from Mostar). The final went really smoothly for us since we won it in style (16:5 de_dust2, 16:10 de_nuke). I guess they were under much more pressure then us (no one expected us to win or even get to the finals).
How many teams participated at the qualifier for your country? Could you tell us how the tournament went for those who weren't there?
There were 32 CS teams from all over Bosnia. The event was organized by club Forum (from Serbia and Montenegro) in association with CSI (from Sarajevo). Organization was pretty good (for our conditions) and everything went smoothly.
You guys have the honour to represent you country in one of the biggest Counter-Strike events of the year, how does it feel?
It's great for any CS team and especially for us because this is the first big international event.
Did it ever cross your mind that you'd one day be representing your home country at an international tournament as big as ESWC?
Actually never! Bosnia is a small country, gaming is something that is pretty new. There aren't many sponsors, conditions and there aren't that many players (the community itself is too small).
What do you think your chances are at the event, what kind of placing are you aiming for?
We don't expect anything, we are going there to have fun, play our own game, try our best and if we make any surprises it will be just ok
Could you give us your top3 prediction for this year?
Well I think there are a lot of teams that can get to top3 but I favour mouz, coL and NiP (they seem to have the desire they need).
How are you and your team preparing for the tournament, and how is it going? Planning any special boot camps?
It's not going be as we had it planned but we are doing our best. As I have already mentioned we don't have the conditions to go (or make) any kind of a boot camp. Even if we had, who would come to B&H
What are your expectations of ESWC and do you think that this is going to be a good event?
For us it just can't be bad, this is our first trip abroad so it will be ok.
When did you discover Counter-Strike and how did you get introduced to gaming?
I first started playing it at a lan center 3 years ago. After some time I realized that I could get pretty good at it so I started to play at a higher level (I can't call it pro level because it just isn't).
How would you describe yourself as a player?
It's not ok for me to write things about myself, so I will not comment on this one.
Could you go through one of your normal days as a high calibre gamer? How many hours you spend playing CS?
Well it's actually a pretty normal day. I have a girlfriend I hang out with, friends and everything. We play CS for about 4 hours every day, but only before some tournaments. We are just a bunch of friends that instead of doing something else play CS
Do you have any goals to achieve before you quit gaming?
Well we actually achieved our main goal, just a couple of months ago we could only dream of playing at such a high level.
What other big events is your team attending this year?
This is maybe the only big event we will ever visit, but you can never know what future has in store for you.
What does the future hold for the team? Did you make any changes to your roster or tactics before ESWC?
As I have said before we are a bunch of friends that plays CS for fun, so we don't care about "bad" results…so no we aren't changing this team since we have been together for 5-6 months, we will only change it if we need to. About the tactics, we haven't changed much.
Do you play any other games or only CS?
Most of us play some games (but not on a competitive level), it's just for fun.
What does your family and friends think of you being involved in gaming?
At first they were sceptical, but after us winning the ESWC qualifier they become very supportive.
If you can name someone, who in your view is the best player in the world at the moment and which team do you see as a serious top contender for this year's events?
There are many teams that can win this tournament, but I admire the NiP guys (especially HeatoN and Pott1) the most, since they still have the will they had when they started playing.
If you win the grand prize of $40.000, what will you do with your share of the cash?
ROFL. We don't stand a chance
But anything is possible (but this)
