Serbian and Croatian are often considered one language; Serbo-Croatian, however there are some distinct differences. The Serbs call their language Serbian, and being Eastern Orthodox, write it in a modified Cyrillic alphabet. The Croats, on the other had, use the Roman alphabet. There are also several differences in vocabulary, for example the word for baby in one is the word for pig in the other.
