What’s the most expensive TV show on our screens at the moment? Game of Thrones probably, each episode has an average budget of $6 million (£3.86 million). Well, as of next year it will only be the second most expensive.

Unless you've been living in a cave the last few weeks, you'll know Clarkson, Hammond and May, formerly of Top Gear, signed a deal with Amazon Prime recently and are contracted into a 36 episode run of the yet untitled show. Well, it has now been revealed each episode will have a budget of around £4.5 million.


The new show is expected to launch in autumn 2016.
